go with a 1.6 geo tracker or suzuki sidekick motor or a 4.3 votec man i have been building them for a few years.   or check this out maybe you can find what your lookin for    www.trailtough.com    or    www.rockyroad.com. pictures of mine are posted in my gallery. i went with the 1.6 geo tracker motor good fuel and with the right gears these things are unstopable.  mine is an 86' lifted 6 1/2" SPOA YJ lift from trail tough power steering set up 4.62 front and rear gears with a hybrid rear end. sittin on 33x12.5x15 cooper stt's. bushwacker fender flares, doug thorley header solid alluminum radiator, heavy duty motor mounts, solid transfercase mounts, 4.16 rock crawler t-case, but when i wanna go muddin i put in a stock t-case takes about 15 minutes to change it, good choice gettin a sammy man. and as far as the motor swap the toyota motors are alot more work to put into a sammy than the 1.6 and they dont have much more power. but my advice is to take your time cause if you build it right you will have an unbeatable rig.

go with a 1.6 geo tracker motor from a pre 94. those motors can hold rpms all day long.
