Hey guys,

I have a 98 Tacoma which I just bought. I don't know much about Toyota's, as I have always been a Jeep guy.

I am interested in swapping in a factory Toyota E-locker and was wondering if anyone has done this and has some pointers. This truck 4 wheels terribly compared to my jeep with lockers F&R.

Hit me up and I am looking to make new wheeling friends if you live in the NW.

Are you thinking about swaping the whole axle or just the 3rd members? its not the most cheep way of going about a locker but its not too hard, I have a friend thats about to swap a taco rear end with the e locker under his 88 yota. use pirate4x4 fourms alot of good stuff about toyotas on there. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/

Just get a powertrax and save the money, the E-Locker rear ends are said to not be that strong, although i have had no issues with mine. but if you join Tacomaworld.com there are alot of good reviews and write-up's on there for different locker setups. & people tend to be really proud of their E-Lockers so they can be pricey compared to just adding a locker.
