As the result of legal action taken against Ford on the behalf of commercial truck dealers stemming from 2002 and the subsequent loss in court, Ford has been ordered to pay around $2 billion dollars to commerical truck dealerships who were apparently overcharged during an 11 year window.

Ford denies there was any wrongdoing and has vowed to appeal the courts decision stating that the court made some tragic legal decisions.

This settlement affects 3000 dealerships and approximately 474,000 trucks that were allegedly overcharged for. The settlement includes a settlement amount and the interest based on that around for a near $2B judgement. Quite a big blow when you’re trying to get back on your feet.
