And also wanting to know what kind of trans should i i run with it.im wanting a 5 speed but how much work would it be to throw that in? and i was told i can run a toyota rear end with it.whats yalls take on that? The motor that was in the toyota was a 22re. any help would be apprecatied

well ive never seen swap kits for ford.. ive done the chevy and dodge v8 swaps in a couple of my yotas..  what u might have to do is take a set of motor mounts from a ford and weld them to ur stock yota mounts and give ur truck a 3 inch body lift to clear the firewall and with the trany u should be able to use a 5spd out of a v8 ranger and modify ur trany mounts and cross member  and the toyota axles r strong enough to hold up to a 302..  my 82 toyota is runnin a built dodge 318 with stock axles with both the front and rear spider gears welded so i hope that helps u a little bit   and with the tires i would go with a set of maxxis bighorns.. there pretty good in the snow

yea a toyota transmission will hold up without a problem along with the tcase.. u would have to get ahold of advanced adapters and have them build u a bellhousing though

joshua1988 had it on the button, you will prob have to do custom mounts, talk to advanced adapters so you can use the yota trans and t-case!

As for your stock daily driver, i would say get some 10.50 wide bfg allterrains, i live in utah and will sware by them for snow and sickrock!   in the mud they suck,     if you go with a mud tire, you can allways get them siped, which is where they cut thin lines in your tred, they will grip good on the road and snow then, but will ware even faster.

i would try to find a tranny and t case out of a broncho 2 and as far as tires in my opinion the best bang for the buck is the maxis buckshots

eat more G.R.I.T.S. they are good for ya!

the only ford swap ive ever done was i helped one of my friends put a 302 in there yota but we took the bed off and put the motor right behind the cab and had a 5spd out of a f150.. we had to modify the clutch fork so it wouldnt hit the frame and we swapped the 3rd members around and turned them upside down... i got some pix of it on my profile... if ur just gonna use it for mudboggin after ur done with it that might be a way easier way to go... and also i would probably do a solid axle swap in the front and get rid of that ifs shit lol... it tends to break sometimes
